At the first look, the service seems to be fine - relatively new cars, hourly rental etc. But when you learn about the next things - you will think twice before start using it. In near every monthly invoice there were multiple $25 fees for different things, like returning the car 6 mins late or using the car without booking etc. Almost all of the ones I've got were incorrect but their system is designed in a way to minimise your chances of the successful dispute. They do not send you any notifications about those so you can only see them a month after the date in question (in the invoice) and then you need to supply them with a proof that it wasn't you using the car and they can't even tell you what kind of proof they are after. Non of the disputes I have raised with them was successful.
Another big thing - they incorrectly report you for parking violations and they do that left and right. I had to spend a lot of time and effort to get those sorted. Their broken system makes you guilty and then you need to fight with them and the Revenue to prove them wrong.
Even 2 month after I discontinued their service I have still got a parking violation notice so I'm dealing with the one right now.
Besides all of the above there were times when there was no gas card in the car so I had to pay for the gas. Also I reported a few car issues and they have never got fixed.
I hope you find this information helpful and think twice before start using the service.

I've been a long time user of Go Get with no real issues until I recently damaged the rear window of one of their vehicles. I reported the damage over 6 weeks ago, which was fixed within a week, but I've yet to receive a resolution.
To date, I've been told I would receive a callback multiple times to which I've not received any. I've escalated to a manager who's told me she would personally stay on top of this to which I've heard nothing. Furthermore, the damage team have gone silent on me after emailing me 3 weeks ago stating I'd receive the invoice before the end of the week and the excess difference refunded.
Customer service and their damage teams seem completely disjointed with no-one in their call center appearing to know what's going on, even at a management level.
This level of service is completely unacceptable and I will be contacting NSW fair trading as this company is deliberately holding the $2500 excess for their own gain.
Thanks for nothing Go Get.

Easy, Affordable and Convenient

I have loved my experience borrowing a van from Go-Get. The entire process has been convenient, affordable and easy. So much so that I have been booking every week!

Poor Customer Service & Account Services

Poor Customer Service
UPDATE 2:
After posting here and emailing I received a call back. Abhi Damage Specialist acted dumb to the fact I had emailed him numerous times and seemed overall unaware of the situation. Even when it came to monies owed he was uncertain if it was final as it was not his "area" [his words ]after discussion he emailed saying after I paid in full and no more monies owned. Doesn't not give me full confidence due to his lack of understanding. As Abhi stated he just handles the invoices.
Received an email per my request saying my account is closed in full. Just waiting to confirm they deleted my supporting documents I submitted for my application.
------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE 1:
After writing this email I sent another email reminder to GoGet and got zero response. Today I got an email from GoGet not answering my questions but saying, "Please note, due to the age of the incident we would require the damage cover remaining balance by 04/06/21. Failure to do this Goget will close the incident and the third party will directly pursue you for their demands."
GoGet has sat on this payment without notifying me for two months! I called and spent 20 minutes on hold while the issue was investigated so I could pay to be told they would send an email. I was ask to be transferred to a senior team member as was denied. I am now waiting to PAY money when they chose to call me back or chose to respond to my email.
Stay as far away as possible and use at your own risk. Will update when they payment is processed hopefully soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
---------------------------------------------------------
I had a GoGet account and got into an "accident" where I hit a parked car in a car park which was entirely my fault. I called GoGet from the site of the accident itself and filed all the paperwork by the end of the day.
GoGet did not handle this claim professionally and it is still unresolved. The incident was in mid-March and I needed paperwork to file with my auto insurance policy to get refunded for the damages incurred. GoGet did not respond to my emails and furthermore upon calling the company I was not transferred to accounting but was instead told I would be emailed. This email took several days and again was not all the information I listed clearly in bullet point in my email. After much back and forth I got an email from GoGet saying I owed x amount by this date can they authorize. No billing statement was attached to the email, no receipt of proof of what the charge was and the like. Again the cost was not the issue but I did need evidence for my insurer. I got a simple email saying will charge 1k to your credit card can I proceed. This is not how accounting is done and I feel horrible for those that cannot afford it. I had to call and argue on the phone for a receipt then charge.
Two months after this I got an email saying they received the claimants request after receiving an email two months earlier, as mentioned in paragraph one, that my account was paid in full. The claimants paperwork they submitted had items unrelated to the accident and the best part was dated 5 business days before we finalized payment! Magically I owe x amount 2 months later despite them having this paperwork on file and saying my account was closed in full.
I emailed back requesting an explanation of why I owe this . It has been over a week and no response! I cannot imagine the anxiety for those that are trying to save up the cash and hit with a bill.
I recommend paying for the day with a reputable rental agency and save yourself the headache. GoGet is great until a point. Moreover customer service seems to be outsourced to a small island as I heard chickens in the background frequently. Nothing wrong with working from home but if you are requesting money from people please have a professional work space.

Exactly what you need in customer support

I have used GoGet a few times to hire vans to move equipment, all had gone very well until yesterday I went to pick up a van... and there was no van there. This could have easily turned into a frustrating experience but I was able to easily call the customer support through the app, quickly speak to a person and they were able to track the van for me. Due to no fault of the GoGet team the van had not being returned. The customer service agent quickly located another van close by and by the time I walked the short distance my booking was transferred and I was off and away.

Fine if you live within 4km of CBD

I’ve been a GoGet user for over 10 years. As long as we were living in North Fitzroy, fine and dandy. But now we’ve moved to Coburg and the coverage is terrible. What’s more they have not responded to my requests to investigate putting on more cars here. So much for rewarding customer loyalty.

Easy and hassle free

Goget is such a good deal for me, be it a short-term rent or a long term rent. The best part is the customer service and the car availability. They were quite prompt at responding to requests like increasing the number of pods, getting the car clean etc. Also, booking the car is hassle free, since I don't have to go through troubles like taking picture of the car from all angles before my journey.

Bad experience over all

Bad experience over all!
Made a reservation for a van to move my stuff (for 3 hours from 1pm to 4pm) and immediately after making it I got a text informing me that the van was not in its pod, and I had to pick it up somewhere else (not even close to where it was supposed to be parked. After looking for the van for 20 minutes I finally arrived, only to find that the back of the van was completely full with some one else’s stuff (mattress, bedframe, closet etc). Since I needed the van for moving, I called costumer service. They cancelled my reservation for the first van and booked me another one, but I had lost a lot of time so I was promised an hour free of charge.
After my moving day I received a bill for the first van ($50) but this bill for voided because I couldn’t use the van.
After a couple more days I received the bill for the second van, which to my surprise is $56 !
On the invoice it said that there is a $15 credit because of the inconvenience and the total would have been $72...
so for a only 2 hours u paid $56 all in total.
This is a ridiculous amount and after contacting costumer service I got told that this is the right amount.
Won’t be using Go get again!
Tried to cancel my subscription but that too is impossible until next year apparently.

Vacation Rental

Booked Danielle the RAV4 for a vacation break (11 days). Engine needed maintenance based on unusual noise (also noting over 98000km on odometer). Customer service was very helpful in locating an alternative vehicle (Love the Sportage), although this created some delays. The other vehicle was good mechanically and relatively clean inside, but had a dirty exterior. This is consistent with my general experience with GoGet, ie. good availability of vehicles, good customer service, reasonable rates, but lack of regular inspection and cleaning of vehicles. Until the last point is addressed, I could not give a five star rating for my general experience
